The day for Vegas finally it is time to go to the SharePoint Conference 2009. I booked early in February so I can say it is time for it.

Early morning wake up early 630 in the morning my girlfriend drove me over to Schiphol(Amsterdam Airport)

I called Waldek what time he was going to come in at Schiphol after waiting 5 min he showed up and we checked in out baggage.

First flight was to Minneapolis we were sitting in the middle of the plane on the with to people who were also attending the SharePoint conference. So lots to speak about. Watched a couple of movies and before we knew it we were in Minneapolis.

At Minneapolis we had a transfer it took us about 15 minutes to go through customs after the customs we had to put our bags on a different tray because of the security wants to make sure you take your own bag.

We walked over to the gate where we had to wait for our flight. It took a long time to get on the plain. We where almost in the front rows. When we entered the plain Waldek immediately saw Todd Bleeker. Who is a great guy and we met some fellow SharePointers as well we had a very nice flight to Las Vegas. When we arrived we went to the hotel with someone from Microsoft. I checked in with the guy from Microsoft and they told me my baggage was coming to my room at the 31th floor after waiting for 30 min no baggage came. So I went to reception and it got mixed up somehow. But they would take care of it.

I went to registration for the SharePoint Conference registered myself and got some Goodies. Then I went to take a shower and walked back to the conference it is about a 10-15 min walk in a hotel amazing it is so big.

There are a lot of booths here with lots of SharePoint Products did not really watch till now. I did meet Jeremy Thake from www.SharePointDevWiki.com he had t-shirts printed out with your twitter name on it and a nice new logo.

I managed to go after the reception the #SharePint in the eye candy bar which was cool because a lot of Dutch SharePoint people where over there had a nice talk with them and others. In between Waldek and I got some good steak at the strip steak in the Mandalay bay after that I went to bed about 21:45. But now I am already a wake and it is almost 4 in the morning Las Vegas time so hope I make it till the end of the day.
